Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund has launched the Copyright Agency Partnerships (CAP) Commission, an annual series supporting mid-career and established visual artists or collectives via a $80,000 commission. From 2021 to 2024, this commission will provide the opportunity for one artist or collective per year to develop and exhibit a significant body of work with leading arts organisations.

For the CAP Commission series, Copyright Agency is partnering with 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art (Sydney: apply 2021/exhibit 2022), the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (Melbourne: apply 2022/exhibit 2023) and the Institute of Modern Art (Brisbane: apply 2023/exhibit 2024). The total value of the commission is $80,000, inclusive of a $20,000 artist fee.

Applications are now open via 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art for the 2022 commission, which will be exhibited at 4A’s gallery in Haymarket, Sydney during 2022. 4A particularly encourages Australian artists of Asian heritage, who are working across all media, to apply.

Applicants will be required to apply for the grant directly via the Copyright Agency website; however, it is recommended that you discuss your potential application with 4A prior to submitting. Please contact Amrit Gill, Artistic Director/CEO, on amrit.gill[@]4a.com.au.

Applications close 25 June 2021.
