Applications are now open for the 2022 State Library Victoria Fellowships Program.

This is a unique opportunity for creatives and scholars to immerse themselves in our vast collection of more than 5 million items, including manuscripts, maps, music, newspapers and more, and bring them to life in new and innovative ways.

There are 16 fellowships available, offering support through financial grants and shared office space in the Library’s magnificent dome annulus or through studio residencies. Each successful applicant will have direct access to Library collections and staff expertise to bring their vision to life.

We are looking for projects that repurpose, transform or imaginatively respond to our collection. From a suite of songs inspired by Victoria’s waterways to the transformation of the Library forecourt into wild grasslands – the possibilities of a State Library Victoria fellowship are endless.

Submissions close at midnight 5 September 2021 (AEST).
