About the exhibition
Part of the Indian diaspora in Australia, Sequeira explores complexities around representation and identity. The title of the exhibition references Sequeira’s relationship with museums, history and contemporary art. Sequeira’s multidisciplinary practice which includes painting, installation, fashion, performance and curatorship spans close to three decades. His work is deeply grounded in the visual languages of colour and geometry.
David Sequeira: Artist talk
Sat 23 July, 3.00 – 4.00pm. FREE
David will speak to his exhibition ‘All the things I should have said that I never said’, and his creative practice as artist and curator.
Working across media, David Sequeira explores issues around high and low art, personal and shared histories, banality and profundity, the reverberations of colonisation and the persisting impact of incomplete histories. Curatorship —articulating the intersections between objects, time, place and space — is an important aspect of his art practice.
