Your new Role

Contributing critical support and innovative leadership at either Academic Level D or E, you’ll join the School of Creative Arts and Media as Head of Discipline, Art. Leading the strategic alignment and operational management of the Art program, a priority will be the creation and implementation of a strategy to enhance research and teaching capacity.

In addition to contributing high-quality research of international standing, you will supervise higher degree students and lead curriculum innovation and exemplary teaching, committed to enhancing the student experience and securing student load targets.

As a contemporary leader able to foster a positive and collaborative environment, you’ll develop outstanding academic research and teaching capability and build effective relationships within the University, the profession, industry and wider community.

With the transformation of our Northern and Southern campuses and the new Hedberg Building, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead the sustainable and strategic growth of the Art program on campuses in the south (Hobart ) and north (Launceston) of the state and enrich Art engagement within the unique Tasmanian context.
