Melissa Miles will discuss the affects that increasing restrictions on photography are having on artists and on the types of photographs that they are making.

Dr Kate MacNeill, Senior Lecturer and Coordinator, Arts & Cultural Management, The University of Melbourne
Contemporary photography practice lies at the intersection of artistic freedom and the regulation of public and private spaces. In this lecture Dr Kate MacNeill will address the impact that heightened security awareness and increasing concerns over individual privacy may have on photographers of unknowing subjects and unstaged scenes.
